NR - NIGHT RATING

You are really fun of a night view at 5.000 ft but your Ratings in your Flight Licence does not permit you to fly as a Pilot in Command (PIC) on your own aircraft during the night, or you may want to continue with an Instrument Rating Course -IR (A)?

WHAT IS THE DURATION OF THE COURSE?

From 3 up to 5 days

From a Fast up to a Normal Progress

WHO CAN JOIN THE COURSE?

(prerequisites)

  • Any candidate willing to exercise the privileges of his / her license at night
  • Be an Airplane Licence Holder, at least PPL (A)
  • Holds a Valid ELP (at least LVL 4)

WHEN CAN I START MY TRAINING?

Any time!

 

FSTC EUROPE starts Night Rating Course any time convenient to the candidate. Group training is much more efficient than the individual.

WHAT’S INCLUDED IN THE TRAINING?

Theoretical Training

8 hours of Night Rating Theory (IN-HOUSE / INSTRUCTOR-LED) covering:

  • Legislation requirements
  • Aeroplane equipment & lights
  • Flight crew & aerodrome licences
  • Night familiarisation & preparation
  • Night vision accommodation & safety precautions
  • External/internal checks – night considerations

 

Practical Training

5 hours flight training, including:

    • IFR NAVIGATION – IFR CROSS COUNTRY (Night) – 3 hr total
    • VMC NIGHT QUALIFICATION – 2 hr (including first SOLO)
    • SOLO flight: five (5) take offs & landings

WHAT AIRCRAFT WILL BE USED FOR MY TRAINING?

FSTC EUROPE operates a state-of-the-art fleet:

  • Single Engine Piston: C-172 & Tecnam P2002JC
  • Multi Engine Piston: Tecnam P2006T
  • (All aircraft equipped with Glass Cockpit / EFIS)

WHAT CAN I EXPECT AS A HOLDER OF THIS LICENCE?

The NR (A) you receive at FSTC EUROPE is an EASA approved Rating, recognised worldwide.

As a holder of NR (A):

  • You can exercise the privileges of your license at night.
