WHAT IS THE DURATION OF THE COURSE?

WHO CAN JOIN THE COURSE?

(prerequisites)

Any pilot operating the EMB-135/145 who needs to acquire, renew, or expand the mandatory Performance-Based Navigation (PBN) privileges on their Instrument Rating (IR).

WHEN CAN I START MY TRAINING?

Any time!

FSTC Europe starts the EMB-135/145 Performance Based Navigation any time is convenient for the Trainee Pilot. A group (of at least 2 pilots) training is much more efficient than one only individual. Pre-arrangement is required.

WHAT’S INCLUDED IN THE TRAINING?

  • Performance Based Navigation (PBN)

    Theoretical Training

    8 hours of the EMB-135/145 Theory (IN-HOUSE / INSTRUCTOR-LED) on the following topics:

    • PBN concept (as described in ICAO Doc 9613) – Navigation specifications
    • Use of PBN
    • PBN operations
    • Requirements of specific RNAV and RNP specifications
    • GLOBAL NAVIGATION SATELLITE SYSTEMS
    • Area Navigation (RNAV) Departure Procedures and RNP-based Departures (relationship between RNAV/RNP-based departure procedures x and those for approaches


    Practical Training
    2 hours flight training on Full Flight Simulator (FFS) LVL D as following:

    • RNAV Dep / RNP (PBN) Appr (2hr PF)


    Skill Test
    2 hr (2hr PF) * – It may be combined with the regular IR chec
