WHAT IS THE DURATION OF THE COURSE?

From 2 up to 4 days

WHO CAN JOIN THE COURSE?

(prerequisites)

Pilots Undergoing Initial EMB-135/145 Type Rating Training:

  • This UPRT module is an integrated and mandatory component of the initial EMB-135/145 Type Rating course, as required by EASA regulations for multi-pilot aeroplanes.


Type-Rated Pilots Undergoing Recurrent Training (LPC):

  • Pilots who already hold the EMB-135/145 Type Rating and are undertaking their periodic Licence Proficiency Check (LPC) or Line Proficiency Check (LPC). UPRT elements are required to be periodically trained and assessed during recurrent simulator checks.

WHEN CAN I START MY TRAINING?

Any time!

FSTC Europe starts the EMB-135/145 Upset Prevention & Recovery Training (Type Specific) – UPRT any time is convenient for the Trainee Pilot. A group (of at least 2 pilots) training is much more efficient than one only individual. Pre-arrangement is required.

WHAT’S INCLUDED IN THE TRAINING?

Upset Prevention & Recovery Training – UPRT (Type Specific)

Theoretical Training
3 hours of the EMB-135/145 Theory (IN-HOUSE / INSTRUCTOR-LED) on the following topics:

  • Aerodynamics
  • Causes of and contributing factors to upsets
  • Safety review of accidents and incidents relating to aeroplane upsets
  • G-load awareness and management
  • Energy management
  • Flight path management
  •  Recognition
  • System malfunction


Practical Training
4 hours flight training on Full Flight Simulator (FFS) LVL D as following:

  • Recovery from full stall event in: T/O Configuration, Clean Configuration (medium altitude), Clean Configuration (High altitude), LDG Configuration
  • Upset Recovery from: NOSE HIGH and NOSE LOW (various bank angles & Power Settings)

DO I NEED ANY EXTRA TRAINING AFTER MY UPRT TRAINING WITH FSTC EUROPE?

NO, YOU DON’T NEED!

The successful completion of this Type-Specific UPRT module is mandatory and directly contributes to the status of your EMB-135/145 Type Rating.
