UPRT | Upset Prevention & Recovery Training

Since the last decade, aeroplane upset or loss of control have been identified among the major risk factors that could lead to fatal accidents in commercial air transport operations and its prevention became a strategic priority Worldwide. This included new training requirements to better prepare pilots for adverse situations of aircraft upset and loss of control.

UPRT is implemented as following:

  • Basic UPRT
  • Basic UPRT is a training including by default in the syllabus of FSTC EUROPE CPL (A) INTEGRATED Commercial Pilot Licence (0 to “frozen” ATPL) and FSTC EUROPE CPL (A) MODULAR Courses. Trainees following one of the above mentioned FSTC EUROPE courses will receive the Upset Prevention & Recovery Training as part of their CPL (A) Licence training.

  • Advanced UPRT
  • Advance UPRT is a “Stand Alone” Upset Prevention & Recovery Training which is addressed to CPL (A) holders that have received their CPL (A) Licence before December 2019 when the UPRT was not a mandatory part of their CPL (A) Licence training.

  • Specific UPRT
  • Specific UPRT is a “Stand Alone” Upset Prevention & Recovery Training which is addressed to Class / Type Rated Pilots who have received their Class / Type Rating before December 2019 when the UPRT was not a mandatory part of the respective Class/Type Rating syllabus.
