FSTC Europe provides the ATR 42/72 - 500 Type Rating course according to EASA regulations.
In case the trainee is an ICAO License Holder, other than EASA, the Pre-Entry requirements will be according to their own License Issued Authority Regulations.
The MCC course can either be integated in your type rating course (please see training footprint) or it can be performed in an FNTP II simulator during your theoretical training.
Entry Requirements for EASA License holders
- 70 hours as a pilot-in-command of airplanes
- Valid ME, IR (multi-engine, instrument rating)
- Valid CPL (ATPL theory) or ATPL
- Valid Class 1 Medical Certificate
- MCC certificate of completion
- English level 4 according to ICAO requirements
For ICAO License holders
In case the trainee is an ICAO License Holder, other than EASA, the Pre-Entry requirements will be according to their own License Issued Authority Regulations.

ATR 42-72 / 500 Facts you should know
- The ATR 72 is a twin-engine turboprop short-haul regional airliner built by the French-Italian aircraft manufacturer ATR.
- The 42-300 made it's maiden flight on August 16th 1984, and took to the skies at the end of 1985 with Air Littoral.
- The 72 was announced in 1986, and made its maiden flight on 27 October 1988.
- Passengers are boarded using the rear door (which is rare for a passenger plane) as the front door is used to load cargo. Finnair ordered their ATR 72s with a front passenger door so that they could use the jet bridges at Helsinki–Vantaa airport.
- In September of 2010 ATR delivered a 72-500 to Brazil's TRIP Linhas Areas, making a total of 900 combined ATR deliveries to date.
